No more twinges or other signs of the baby arriving just yet. I’ve fed Catriona green thai curry and fresh pineapple for the last 2 days and that hasn’t made any difference.
I’ve got a long list of odd jobs to keep me busy and distracted over the next few days if there isn’t anything more pressing to attend to. Catriona has kept herself busy as well; she and Maria went over to Blackburn yesterday for a dress fitting. My cousin Liz is getting married at the end of January and she’s asked Maria to be a flower girl and to escort Liz’s 5 year old nephew Jack. I don’t think too much is expected of Maria as she’s still quite hard to ‘direct’. She’s starting to understand simple instructions although whether she choses to heed them is another matter.
Tomorrow Catriona has a (last?) visit to the midwife followed by a Christmas party for Maria at the nearby Methodist church Monday toddler group. Maria will have to watch out for that big bearded guy wearing red. She met him a couple of weeks ago and wasn’t impressed. The occassion was St Mary’s church/school christmas fair and it was a shame because when Ron isn’t dressed head to toe in red she usually flirts with him in church. I think it was as much to do with the surroundings; his venue was more grotty than grotto as it was a pokey cupboard off the school hall which had only been lightly decked with tinsel.
