Everybody’s going to be talking about it but since we don’t currently have a TV we will be oblivious to it all… well apart from the fact that the radio, the papers, the internet and most of the general public will be talking about it.
We used to watch it and it was one of a few reasons why we didn’t renew our license 3 years ago as we realised we were becoming less and less discerning viewers. I’ll admit it was my idea to bin the TV and Catriona wasn’t too keen at first. Fortunately we were very busy that summer so didn’t miss it much but the winter was harder to bear and I remember being desperate to try and catch up with the year’s TV at our parent’s houses when Christmas arrived.
We have watched bits of each of the Big Brothers in the past but this one sounds like it has been set up for real fireworks. It’s longer, with more housemates crammed into a smaller house. BB’s been dubbed car-crash television and unfortunately to maintain the interest in what is becoming a well worn format Endemol is needing to throw together more un-real and desperate wannabee D-list celebrities to maintain the shock/interest level.
We watch a lot of DVDs and with Maria around we have another excellent source of entertainment, we certainly don’t have the time to watch Big Brother these days.
